It Started With A 16-Year-Old Boy in the Mandis of Jammu.

In the 1980s, my grandfather - the original "Lala" - was a man who lived life with full mauj. But when we lost him too soon, my father had to leave his childhood behind. At just 16, he wasn't in a classroom; he was in the dust and noise of Jammu’s dry fruit market, working to support the family.

It was there, decades ago, that he mastered the art of selection. He learned to spot the oil in a walnut just by its weight and the purity of saffron by its crimson hue.

Years later, when I offered to order dry fruits online for him, he scolded me in his typical style: “Bhakk re budbak! Yeh isiliye thodi krta hu... Jammu helps me refresh the memory of my father.”

Lala Ki Potli is born from that scolding.

This isn't just an e-commerce store. It is a tribute to my grandfather’s spirit and a delivery system for my father’s expertise. We don't source from faceless warehouses. We bring you the same authentic, hand-picked hill produce that my father brings home for us.

No Polish, No Pretence

Most market almonds are chemically polished for shine. Ours are raw, rugged, and real. We believe dry fruits should be eaten the way nature intended- unprocessed and full of nutrients.

The "Lala" Standard

We are picky so you don't have to be. Every batch is manually sorted to ensure you don't pay for hollow shells or broken bits. If it’s not good enough for our family, it doesn’t go into your Potli.
